Hydrazine (N2H4) is a fuel used by some spacecraft. It is normally reacted with N2O4 according to the equation: N2H4(l) + N2O4 (g) 2 N2O(g) + 2 H2O (g) a) Identify the oxidizing agent and the reducing agent in the reaction. b) Calculate ?H°rxn for this reaction using standard enthalpies of formation. The standard enthalpies of formation for hydrazine and dinitrogen tetroxide are ?H°f (N2H4 (l)) = 50.6 kJ/mol and ?H°f (N2O4(l)) = -19.5 kJ/mol.
