Assessment - Client Report
For this assignment, you are expected to write a fictional Client Report. You can write this report about any existing organisation of your choice.
Note: you cannot choose any of the following organisations: BBC, Tesco, Boeing, Samsung, FIFA, as they will be used in the group assignment.
You will act as an external consultant. In this role, you will advise senior management about any changes that you think will be effective to improve organisational and managerial approaches to improve their performance. These approaches will be based on your written analysis of what you consider to be the company's current circumstances, their existing strengths, weaknesses and potential challenges'.
In your Client Report therefore you should do the following:
• Briefly introduce the organisation's vision, mission, values.
• Provide information and data on the organisation's internal resources and structure.
• Analyse the organisation's external environment, wih a focus on the impact of the Covid pandemic and current geopolitical tensions on the operations of your chosen organisation.
• State your suggested short, medium and long-term goals for the organisation.
• Explain how your client organisation can reach the stated objectives, applying Burnes's framework for change (see chapter 11 of textbook).
The report must also include a brief introduction, and a conclusive section, summarising your key recommendations to your client organisation.
You must refer to a wide variety of research evidence that justifies your recommendations.
The Client Report must to be completed within 2,500 words (+/-10%), plus an extensive reference list of sources of evidence and information you use. Your references must include sources used in the module (e.g. the Managing Change textbook).
You are required to use Harvard referencing list both in text and in your reference list. Guidance on Harvard referencing is available on the University website (see links in Aula).
