Assessment - Reflective Essay
Your Task
Students will be required to write an individual reflective essay that includes three components: Self- Reflection, Building a Personal Brand and Managing Digital Personal Branding.
Assessment Description
Students will be required to develop a personal brand for themselves that is both authentic and unique by integrating learnings from the following topics: Self-Concept, Identity and Self-Efficacy (Week 1); Skills vs. Character Strengths (Week 2), and Building your Brand (Week 3).
The reflective essay should contain the following three (3) sections:
Self-Reflection:
After exploring your skills and character strengths, discuss what makes you unique, what defines you, what is your purpose, and what motivates you?
Seven-step Approach to Build a Personal Brand:
Define your purpose.
How to Audit your personal brand equity?
What is your personal narrative?
How can you embody your brand? What will you share about yourself and what is the best way to explain it?
How you will present your brand to others including your personal Brand and narrative.
Define the way you will socialise your brand.
What methods/approaches do you apply to re-evaluate and adjust your personal brand.
Managing Digital Personal Branding:
Explain how you manage your digital footprint and personal branding.
Assessment Instructions
Your reflective essay should contain three (3) parts (as outlined above) and have a maximum of 1200 Words
At least five (5) academic references are required (using the Kaplan Harvard Referencing Style).
You can use references when you refer to specific theories/concepts to justify and support your points.
