Question: As the HR Manager of ABC Company, you've received dozens of complaints through the grapevine about content a few employees are posting to the Social Media site known as TikTok. Three work-from-home employees are posting videos about their political beliefs from their home during work hours (typically during lunch). Two have posted from ABC Company's office during work hours about their personal lives. One has continuously posted videos about his managers, how the company treats him and their customers, and includes links to the company's website and press releases.

After a review of ABC Company's employee handbook, you realize there is no social media policy. You consult your files and SHRM.org for a sample document and use this document to craft a policy related to social media use for your company (note direct copying with no customization will receive a zero). Note within the document which positions/authorities must approve the policy prior to implementation. Explain how you intend to communicate the new policy to the company's employees. The communication plan should be at the end of the policy document.
