• Explain how the selected disorder is diagnosed.

• Explain how the selected disorder is treated. Be sure to include all the views on appropriate treatment and comment on diversity of views or dissent.

Discuss Dissociative Identity Disorder. Dissociative Identity Disorder, commonly known as DID is a complex multiple personality disorder caused my various factors including severe trauma during childhood. DID is considered a mental process which disconnects a person with certain memories, thoughts and/or certain emotions. This is disorder is often seen as a coping mechanism and can be very complex to treat. There are three types of dissociative disorders
