Scenario:

After the presentation of Task 1, the managing director of the multinational automobile manufacturer has assigned you to do a situation analysis for the management team in preparation for a new operations management plan. In addition, a briefing report of the operations management plan is required to explain how the operations strategy will be used to achieve company objectives relating to your two chosen organisations. This task has two parts:

Part A: a briefing which compares how your chosen organisation and one of its competitors is using the various elements of quality management and continuous process improvements.

Part B: Describe and explain how the role of supply chain management in supporting your chosen organisation's aims to satisfy customer requirements.
