Problem: Today's families are in a state of transition. Women's gender roles have shifted to include performance in both the private and the public spheres. At the same time, there have been opportunities for men to play a much larger role in the private sphere as well as the public one that they have been traditionally involved with. According to structural functionalist theorists, these shifts may be problematic. According to feminist theorists, these shifts may be viewed as positive. Choose one theorist (structural or feminist) and explain how these changes could be either positive or negative. Be sure to create a strong thesis and provide strong evidence.
