1. Explain how one of the theoretical concepts we discussed this relates to this study.
- Name the concept, and briefly define its application to this study.
- You can think about false memories, the reconstructive nature of memories, memory implantation and reconsolidation, the seven sins of memory, memory encoding and retrieval, or any other memory-related concept that is applicable. Your task is to discuss how the concept of your choice applies to this study and the participant's experiences.
2. It is well known that our memories of experiences, thoughts, and facts are not snapshots of the past in which every detail is preserved. The human mind is capable of re-creating and modifying current and past experiences. Given this, reflect and formulate a response to the following questions:
- Is this re-constructive nature of memory important for our well-being and our sense of self?
- Does changing /modifying a memory influence "who we are" and alter the "story of our life"?
- If you were given the opportunity to alter or modify a memory in your life will you take the opportunity? Why or why not? What are your thoughts?
