Aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid) is absorbed in the stomach only in its acid form (non-ionized). If a patient is taking an antacid that adjusts the pH of stomach contents to 2.95 and then take two tablets containing 0.65 g of aspirin, how many grams of aspirin are available for immediate absorption by the stomach? Assume immediate dissolution of aspirin and it does not significantly change the pH of the stomach contents. The pKa of aspirin is 3.50 and its molecular weight is 180.2
