Groom Service
It is significant to think about some of the customs and values of our society. A groom is the male involved in a wedding ceremony. In our society, marriage and dating rituals have been evolving over time. Conventionally, males were to date or court the females and ultimately ask for her hand in marriage (after the approval of her father, or course). nowadays, some of those traditions are the same but many have been abandoned or changed.
For example, it is not rare for the females to initiate the marriage and dating process. Also, it is now acceptable to have same-sex marriages that were before not recognized.
Communities outside North America (and even some pockets within the United States and Canada) have their own marriage and dating rituals. What are the expectations in your community or culture?
The story you are about to read is titled Groom Service and will be found on page 12 of your Imprints book. The thoughts in this story are a bit different from the dating rituals you may know.
