To measure calcium in breakfast cereal, 0.5216g of crushed Cheerios were ashed, dissonved in 6M HCl, quantitatively transferred to a volumetric flask, and diluted to 100.0mL. A 5.00mL aliquot of the cereal solution had an absorbance of 0.151AU when measured by flame atomic absorption. A second 5.00mL aliquot was spiked with 1.00mL of a 20.0ppm Ca(2+) standard. This spiked sample had an absorbance of 0.185AU. What is the wt% of calcium in the Cheerios?
