The essay should reflect the following structure.

Elaboration & Analysis: explain the factors and causes of racism, both from historical and contemporary perspectives, including political, social, economic, and cultural factors. This part requires a critical analysis in which you can apply and relate relevant concepts and theories that you learned in the course. Use external sources such as research paper, book etc. for supporting your argument and analysis.
Application and Relation: In the analysis and/or elaboration part, apply and relate the concepts and theories that you learned from the course (such as new racism, systemic racism, nationalism and race, dog whistle politics, colorblind racism etc.)
Resistance Against Racism: also, include how society is reacting to racism or what kind of social movements emerged or are emerging against racism. Analyze the character and nature of these resistances (such as organizers, mobilizing capacity, appeal, goal, tactic etc.)
Evaluation & Critique: evaluate the changes happened so far; also evaluate the structural, institutional, and other constraints that prevent the end of racism.
Conclusion: revisit the key point that you highlighted in the intro and briefly discuss the impact of racism in broader context.
