Explain Factors that affect the intensity of color are wavelength and concentration. Concentration affects the intensity of color because the less concentrated something is, the bigger the %T will be and vice versa. This happens because the less concentrated something is, the more light will pass through. Wavelength also affects the intensity of color because the shorter the wavelength, the bigger the %T solution will be. Also, the longer the wavelength, the smaller the %T solution is.The straight-line relationship of the function of %T versus concentration shows the relationship between the two. As the concentration decreases, the %T will increase. To use this relationship for practical use, the company that wants to figure out the factors that affect intensity of color and test their food coloring samples could use this information to improve on their products.
