Social Cognitive Behavior is described as the influences of a person's experiences, actions of others, and their environment that influence the health behavior either good or bad. It can be classified as observational learning, for instance a person being motivated to learn how to ride a horse because a family is doing it. SCB has several components that are followed to change a person's behavior.
Health belief model does not account for an individuals attitude and environment toward the changing of a behavior. HBM does not include social acceptability when influencing a behavioral change, for instance smoking is socially acceptable but very bad to their health. HBM is more of a descriptive in the strategies that are used when changing a health behavior.
