Four essential factors can affect the rate of a reaction. Three of these factors can be related to the rate constant of a reaction through an equation known as the Arrhenius expression. First, state the 4 factors that can affect reaction rate. Next, for each factor explain in one or two sentences how the factor affects the rate of reaction at a molecular level.

Next, write the Arrhenius expression and indicate which 3 factors are included in the equation. Finally in no more than 2 sentences explain why the fourth factor is excluded from the Arrhenius expression.
