1. Explain an essay describing the Municipal Structure of Texas. Begin your essay by describing the forms of municipal governments. Provide examples of the characteristics of these forms of government. For example- describe the strong and weak mayor-council characteristics, council manager-form and the Commission.

2. Secondly, describe Municipal Politics. Talk about the following:

1. Socioeconomic and demographics of municipal governments.

2. Municipal services provided to the public. Also, detail how you benefit from these services or have used these services.

3. Describe how municipal revenue is collected and the short falls in the budget. Also, make your own suggestion on how the municipal budget can be improved. Provide specific examples to your suggestion. For example: If you feel that there is not enough school taxes paid, detail why you don't there is enough school taxes and then- describe how you feel increased school taxes will better (fill in the blank) in the Texas school districts.

4. Discuss Economic Development. Provide examples of how Texas is generating revenue (money) from Economic Development. Example: How is Texas attracting big businesses like Amazon, Toyota, HQ etc. What incentives are Texas providing to attract these companies?

5. Discuss the county structure of Texas. Then provide an example the roles of a county employee. Example: What are the duties of the county clerk?

6. How many counties are there in Texas? What County do you live in? Who is your County Judge?

7. How do counties generate revenue (money)?

8. What are Special Districts? Provide an example of a Special District. Have you used a special district? How so? If not- just say that you have not used a special district.
