Lynn Curtis, a new designer here at SeeMoji, has added an emoji to our product line that was not really her design; the dancing emoji was created and copyrighted by a company called Party Planners. Lynn Curtis has been terminated effective immediately-and now we need to do damage control.

First, write email to customers who purchased the design. Let them know that, regrettably, they legally cannot use design and that their money will be refunded. Use a specific subject line; customers may simply delete an email with a vague subject line.

Use only information customers would need to know. Legal action is pending, so do not use Lynn's name or refer to Party Planners. Keep it vague (i.e., Due to a copyright issue, . . . ).

Second, write email to employees telling them they must attend a mandatory workshop on copyright laws on Monday, December 10, at 10:00 a.m. on Zoom. Express the seriousness of stealing someone else's designs and explain that it will not be tolerated at SeeMoji. The workshop will be presented by Joe Naylor, a copyright infringement expert.

Third, write letter to investors telling them SeeMoji takes copyright laws seriously. Briefly explain the incident and let them know the issues have been addressed.
