Success and Failure Stories of Disruption of Extant Business Models in various Industries Business Model Architects of KPMG and BCG had an argument and a key excerpt is as follows:

Business Model Architect (KPMG): "Affordable business models of Dow Corning, No-Frills Airlines, Cloud Solutions and Charles Schwab have irreversibly disrupted the conventional and expensive business models in the respective industries that are dominated by price-sensitive customers".

Business Model Architect (BCG): "The success of the expensive business models of Starbucks, Electric Vehicle (EV) Firms, Motorola's Satellite Phones, and Enterprise Solutions like ERP and Computing Solutions like Mainframes are so well-entrenched in the respective business ecosystem (that is abundant of quality-conscious customers) that they can never be relegated to the background".
