As a Database Consultant, I have been assigned a project to upgrade the college's Student Record System. The new system's objective is to allow authorized members to access the record of academically registered students. The system is required to provide a useable and well-managed interface for student, academics and administrators to view and manipulate the data for which it is responsible. For each, it must allow the rapid formulation and resolution of queries related to the student information, such as students' details, courses, exams. There is also a requirement for the system to interact with other information sources as required during the resolution of queries.

1) Mission Statement: why the project is needed?

2) Project Objectives: what are the requirements of each user of the database system and how this will improve their daily activities.

3) Conceptual design

a. Draw a conceptual ER diagram(s) in UML

b. Explain all the entities used in the ER diagram

c. Explain attributes (for each entity) used in the ER diagram

d. Explain the relationship between entities and attributes used in the ER diagram.

4) Logical design

a. transform ER model into the relational model

b. show normalize steps for the relational model diagram used. Needs 1NF to 3NF
