When organizing content for a message you can consider the actual descriptive content you will use along with the type of content you will use. In the attached file provided, you will see reference to descriptive content you can use in a routine message along with the type of content or assigned technique. In each section of a message, you would typically use the type of content indicated and separated by open/body/close sections. You might have more than one paragraph per section in a message, but you would typically still organize content accordingly and as referred to in the attachment provided.
Look at a personal business or professional oriented message and see if you can identify what the main idea sentence is and what strategy you think the author is using, direct or indirect? Include the main idea sentence and location in the message. Do you think the main idea was well developed? Well placed?
Additionally or alternatively, you can further identify what type of content is included in the opening, body and close. Provide an example of a sentence and associate the type of content from the open, body and/or close sections.
What suggestions, if any do you have for the author of the message to possibly improve it?
