Case Study: A well-known study conducted by the Harvard Business School explore how well-planned and well-written goals would impact on performance and achievements of the students in the future. The participants of the study were divided into three groups: participants who had no set goals and no concrete plans, participants who had their goals chalked out but did not know how to execute them and participants who had well-defined goals and plans of action ready to achieve them. The results revealed that the third group who had their goals written with concrete plans to attain them did significantly better than the other two groups.
