Chemistry Lab Report Help!!! We did a lab on equilibrium and le chatelier's principle. On one portion, there was a copper complex, and we had to add different components to a solution and write down the changes that took place. For the copper complex section, there was CuSO4 (clear blue), then NH3 was added (cloudy teal), and the solutions were split into two. In solution a) the NH3 was left alone, and in b) excess NH3 was added (dark blue). Then, HCl was added to each solution (visible gas was released from both and both became clear blue in color). Here are the questions: Write the equilibrium equation for the formation of the tetraammine copper(II) complex from Cu^2+ and ammonia. For the above observations, explain your observations of color changes and/or solid present. Include the direction of any equilibrium shift and why it is shifted. When a competing equilibrium causes the shift, include the appropriate equation. I don't even know where to start.
