I am not sure how i would be able to put these in my own words. I need help better understanding the question.

Response to Daughter

Mrs. G.'s response to her daughter did not surprise me in the least bit. At this point in her life she likely feels as though she has been losing everything she had and cherished throughout her life such as her children and husband. Her children are all grown up and have moved away making her feel disconnected with them and as though they no longer need her in their lives. Her husband's passing more than likely deepened her feelings of abandonment and loneliness. She likely feels as though her daughter is trying to "take it" away from her and feels like it would be yet another loss in her life. Mrs. G. has been faced with now living a "new and unfamiliar" life without her husband. The unfamiliar and unknown tend to evoke fear in individuals. In her mind, her home is the "only thing that she has left" that is familiar and the same. The thought of having to add another unfamiliar and new thing into her life, such as moving, and "losing" yet another aspect of her life, most likely is causing extreme panic and anxiety for her. She already is working on acclimating herself to her new life without her husband and does not seem as though, emotionally, she can handle an additional change. Also, she may feel as though she deserves to live alone and wallow in her misery of all the loss she has sustained.
