Assessment Tasks:
You are required to read the following scenario and answer the following questions:
Jamal is the head of sales department at (MT Exports) company. He was informed that one of the company's storage compartments has been set on fire and that 3000 kilograms of potatoes in that compartment have perished. Jamal tried to call Ahmad (the manager of the company) but he could not be reached. So, Jamal had to sell the potatoes at half their market price. After the sale, it turned out that the potatoes are owned by another company (MG Exports) and are stored in the MT Company's storage compartment on temporary basis. MG Exports filed a case to invalidate the contract of sale, alternately hold Jamal liable for the loss he caused them when he sold the potatoes for half price and accordingly they claimed damages.
