Question

The article I chose is "Workplace violence against nurses: a narrative view," (Kafle, 2022). This article refers to the feelings and perceptions of nurses, therefore making this a qualitative article. The qualitative phenomenological research method was used in this article in order to obtain the lived experiences of nurses dealing with workplace violence. The aim of the article is to explore workplace violence among nurses by patients and to encourage nurses to educate themselves and report violence in the workplace to include verbal abuse as well as physical. The study successfully meets the criteria of the CASP Qualitative Checklist. Data was gathered in a way that addressed the issue at hand, ethical issues were taken into consideration, and data analysis was sufficiently rigorous, (Long, 2022). The commentary explained that workplace violence is extremely common among nurses and hampers their ability to do their job, do it well, and want to continue to do it.
