This is not a case study. This information will be used to provided guidelines for a more effective work process and culture of caring environment for new employees.

The first stage of the Culture of Caring framework covers all of the experiences of a new employees (or potential new employees) prior to accepting an offer of employment, including the recruitment, application, and interview processes. As you develop your onboarding and retention plan, consider the following:

- How can you develop partnerships in the community to help you find employees who will be the right fit for your facility?
- How can you provide greater clarity to potential new employees about the expectations of the job and the environment they will be working in?
- How can you begin building connections between applicants and their potential supervisors and coworkers during the interview process?
- How can you clearly communicate your facility's culture to applicants and begin assessing how they would fit into your culture?
