A 25 year old woman experiences abnormal bleeding after oral surgery. She remembers bleeding following tonsillectomy when she was a child and she reports a history of easy bruising, frequent nose bleeds, and heavy menstrual bleeding. She says that her mother is a "bleeder". Examine her test results and recommend additional testing. Result Reference Range PT 12 sec 10-15 sec. APTT 36 sec. < 35 sec. Bleeding time 15 min. 2-8 min. Platelet Count 160 x 109 / L 150-450 x 109/L Recommend additional testing.
