The company you work for is an international company with offices in over 80 countries and over 3000-4,000 staff. The company was founded in year 2004 and has experienced a rapid growth in that period till to date.

However, it has not fully developed its Human Resources practices, since it has been focusing mainly on its sales and marketing over the past 10 years since its establishment. The President of the company has recently returned from an HR seminar in which he heard the new phrase 'The War for Talent' repeated several times during the seminar.

When he is back, the president of the company has asked you to prepare a report for the company head management outlining the threats and opportunities arising as you see them.

In the briefing, the president of the company mentioned a series of issues he would like you to counter in the report, including but not limited to:

1. Which countries might the company be facing recruitment and/or retention difficulties?

2. How can the company develop a strategy for ensuring it recruits the best and the brightest employees?

3. What can the company do within the next 3 months to assure its investors that it is taking the matter seriously?

4. What current issues must the company keep eyes on in case it affects the company's recruitment and retention?
