Adapting to an organizations culture and expectations can prove to be a little difficult especially if we have been with that organization for a long time. As current organizations are going through re-alignments and changes in leadership this also means the culture will change. When you have employees who are used to things a certain way, going through changes can become a challenge. This is why it is so important that as change agents we are transparent in expectations to avoid mas chaos. In order for employees to adapt there has to be a period of hand holding and reassurance with our employees - this is natural. Once that's done and employees feel comfortable, then we can start slowly taking a step back. However, we cannot do this without going through the hand holding phase as this is where the risk lies.
What has been your experience with change within your organizations? Has it been handled correctly? Why or why not?
