Soren Kierkegaard claimed that all truth (in particular, religious truth) is subjective, inward, and immediate, not objective and universal. Kierkegaard argued that faith is not a belief but a sense of "trust" in someone. He asserted that one ultimately must make a "leap of faith" to believe in the saving message of Jesus.
