John Hanke, the CEO of Pokémon Go developer Niantic, posted a video of himself testing out the Augmented Reality Playground function in the game. Its goal is to get kids moving and have fun. With its technology embedded in some 4,000 playgrounds worldwide, Pokémon Go gets sedentary kids to move by creating augmented reality mobile games that encourage physical play such as an enhanced hide-and-seek. The applications are designed for children to be active 80 percent of the time. Can you think of another way to get kids moving using wireless technologies?
