Question

A patient complains of not feeling well, overall lack of energy, excessive sleeping, overeating, craving for carbohydrates, and weight gain. The physician examination included asking a serious of questions, blood tests to rule out a variety of metabolic diseases, general physical-all results returned within normal limits with no predominant diseases. The physician begins a screening for depression and learns the patient is extremely active during summer months, while much more inactive and remains indoors during winter months.
