Conduct an interview in which you seek to evaluate TQM. Write a paper to document the interview. Use the following guide:

  • Select a company and interview an employee regarding the essential requirements for total quality management (TQM). Be sure to identify the company by name if possible. If not, identify the company by industry sector (e.g., heavy equipment manufacturing). Provide a job title and brief job description of the person interviewed.
  • Describe the essential requirements for TQM at this firm.
  • Describe the TQM processes in place and/or planned for future enhancements. A flowchart may be helpful.
  • Evaluate how the management and improvement of a successful TQM program is dependent upon the essential requirements.
  • Determine whether the TQM program is satisfying current customer requirements or anticipating future expectations. How is this accomplished?
  • Include specific examples of the interviewee's responses.

Support your paper with at least five (5) scholarly or peer-reviewed resources.  In addition to these specified resources, other appropriate scholarly resources, including older articles, may be included. Your paper should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts that are presented in the course and provide new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic. Your response should reflect scholarly writing and current APA standards. Be sure to adhere to Northcentral University's Academic Integrity Policy.
