Assignment:

Most look at progressive liberalism as a radical ideology. Civil Rights were radical to the white society. Just look at what each event that pushed forward for equality generated; most erupted in violence or protest. Change is always met with animosity. Jim crow law and policy were developed because society feared change and white society at the time feared the change the civil right movement was sparking. So, the developed policies made gaining equality harder.

Please give some examples of how progressive liberalism has been a radical ideology in the past, specifically in relation to the Civil Rights movements and women's suffrage / right to vote.
