Due to her advanced dementia, she has lost her ability to speak in English and can now only communicate in Italian. She has poor eyesight, is hard-of-hearing, and requires a walking stick to move about. She recently suffered a mild stroke and is currently undergoing physiotherapy sessions to restore her muscle strength. She also requires administration of insulin as part of her diabetes control and management.
