The ORDER BY Clause is an SQL clause that is helpful when trying to order the output of a SELECT query in either descending or ascending order. Here is an example of the syntax used for the ORDER BY clause:

SELECT Customer_ID, Cust_FirstName, Cust_LastName

FROM Customer

ORDER BY Customer_ID DESC;

This will produce the selected columns listed in descending order by the customer's ID number.

I am curious as to how would the result set of your example be presented if no ORDER BY clause was set? And was id SELECT statement default behavior: show the result set ordered or not when the ORDER BY clause is not present?
