Assignment:

Transition management is when a company changes technology systems or implements a new system that changes the way they do things. In healthcare we have been changing a lot of the ways that we do stuff so now we can see our charts in just the click of an app. Other doctors and facilities can see test results and other medical information that can help better our care, especially with an emergency. When you go see the doctor, they have all your medical information in a computer system and not a paper chart anymore so that they can share your medical chart electronically now without risking HIPPA violations and or other privacy violations. When you went to the doctor before they had to fax your charts or if you moved, they faxed or mailed chart records and that was unsafe because it could go to the wrong place and your medical information can be seen by someone you didn't want to see it.

But now with the technology change your medical records can be sent via the internet and most programs can't be hacked because of cyber blockers. With the EHRs or electronic health records replacing paper records it has been a bug game changer for the medical world. It has made things easier for all the medical staff, sending prescriptions, coding and billing, charting and documenting and even for lab results. This has also made it easier for patients to see their next appointments, talk to the doctors and ask questions and even see their lab results (American Institute of Medical Sciences & Education, 2023). This has even made the things that we do at work easier we now have a program that shows us if a donor has gone to another center within the 7 day period because it is unhealthy to donate more then 2 times in a 7 day period so now we have an electronic CDCS check which tells us if their name and social was used at another center within the US.
