1. Download the historical data series on inflation and unemployment rates for the US economy over the past 30 years.

a. Download all of the data, from 1 Jan 1948 to 1 Sep 2023. Hint use the following time series:

• Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers: All Items in U.S. City Average (CPIAUCSL) - edit graph units to make sure it is "Percent change from a year ago"

• Unemployment Rate (UNRATE) - make sure it is "Percent" (this should be the default)

2. Calculate the average rate of inflation and unemployment over the given period.

3. Consider the current rate of both inflation and unemployment in the context of historical averages.
