Question: In this module, we are examining individual differences among Service Members, Veterans, and their families. We are particularly interested in differences which may predispose Service Members, Veterans, or family members to discrimination, oppression, or any form of social exclusion.

For this module's discussion board, you will make a mind map that depicts the issues associated with one expression of diversity. The mind map must be your own creation. You may not copy and paste someone else's work or anything from the Internet. Cite your sources of information.

Your mind map should have at least three layers and a minimum of 21 figures (one central figure and 21 additional ones). For example, if your central figure represents women-headed households in the Military, the second layer of figures could be items such as military sexual trauma, women in combat, child care, single parenting, dual military couples. The tertiary layer would include brief information about each of the concepts presented in the second layer. You are not restricted to pictures and some words may be necessary to communicate your point.

Remember to cite sources for the information. The reference list must be in APA 7 format, but in-figure citations may be indicated with a superscript or 8-point font parenthetical notation. If you use superscript numbers, please also number your reference list, although this is not strict APA 7 format.
