  1. Think about and write down which frameworks have you learned about that you think are most applicable to your company. For this week, think about what you have learned about how to do market research. The first thing to think about is what world you think you live in - V1, V2, or V3? Obviously, how you research, what your research questions are, etc will all depend on what view you take on how your market operates.
  2. As we stressed in Session 5, you may well live in more than one world at the same time - sometimes you might have to take a V1 view and think about how to optimise your 4Ps. At other times, you might have to analyse one of your important relationships in some depth, in which case your unit of analysis might be not the customer/supplier, but the 'space in between' using the AAR analysis. At other times, you might decide to look more broadly at the whole network within which you operate. Think carefully about this - when will you use which approach?

Using the various frameworks that we have introduced in this session, examine two pieces of customer-focused market research that your company has recently undertaken, or had done for them. Critically evaluate these. How might you have done them better?
