Simply Business is the trading name of Xbridge Ltd. It is the UK's largest online business insurance broker, with 300,000 customers. The company has been featured in the Sunday Times Tech Track 100 four times and in 2015 and 2016 won The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For.

ADOPTED CASE STUDY

In this assignment SAMPLE BUSINESS INSURANCE COMPANY is planning to expand its business activities across the city of London and other states in the UK.  As the newly appointed marketing manager you are expected to carry out some activities for the organization to achieve its business strategic goals.

 TASK 1 (700 words)

Report requires the application of theory in reviewing the changing perspective of marketing planning with evaluation and conducting an organization audit.

The task 1 report has to be writing based on the following.

A. Review changing perspective in marketing planning.

B. Evaluate Simply Business capability for planning its future marketing activity

C. Examine the techniques for an organizational auditing and for analyzing external factors that will affect the marketing planning using above case study

D. Carry out organizational auditing and analyses external factors that affect the marketing Planning in Simply Business.

To achieve task 1 you will make and fine appropriate solutions in evaluating and examining the organization capabilities for planning it's future marketing activities and also carry out an organizational audit (From Qus A to D)

TASK 2 (300 words)

The main reason for conducting a marketing plan is to enable an organization identifies and creates a competitive advantage.

As a marketing staff of Simply Business, prepare a power point covering the following topics:

A. Assess the main barriers to marketing planning for Simply Business

B. Examine how an organization like Simply Business may overcome barrier to marketing planning.

To achieve task 2 you will have to use suitable techniques to explore and assess the main barriers to an organization's marketing plan and also examine how the organization may overcome those barriers.

TASK 3 (700 words)

A marketing plan can be defined as a written statement outlining the marketing aims of an organization, which will include a statement of product or services, target for sales, market share and profit, promotional and advertising strategies, distribution channels and pricing policies ETC.

As a marketing consultant advising for Simply Business UK, prepare a briefing paper covering the following questions

A. Write a marketing plan for a product or services.

B. Explain why marketing planning is essential in the strategic planning process for an organization like Simply Business.

C. Examine the techniques for new product development.

D. Justify recommendations for pricing policy, distribution and communication mix forSimply Business.

E. Explain how factors affecting the effective implementation of the marketing plan been taken into account.

TASK 4 (500 words)

As new intern consultant in the organization, you have been asked to prepare an essay answering the following questions:

A. Explain how ethical issues influence marketing planning.

B. Analyses examples of how Simply Business organizations will respond to ethical Issues (using the scenario above)

C. analyses examples of consumer ethics and the effect it has on marketing planning.
