Think about using the "Sociological Imagination" to examine and attempt to form an understanding of social behavior and issues. Sociology takes several approaches to understand the behavior of groups and individuals within groups. These are social systems. I'm going to repost that short blog entry that might help you understand thinking in terms of systems a little better. How can thinking about systems help us to better understand how to solve social problems? Read this article from a few years ago about Wyoming and consider possible solutions Rock Springs, Wyoming.
Fortunately things have been improving, read this short article, think about why that might be, and what else might improve the situation in our state and in our area. How can we continue to have improvement with this important social issue?
