How to Complete Assignment

Now that we are nearing the end of the course, you have an opportunity to influence your facilitator in obtaining the grade you feel you earned. In a maximum of three pages, convince your course facilitator of your desired final grade in the course.  

This is an assumption you should make when you are thinking of the final grade you want:  

• 5% of the class will receive an F.
• 15% will receive a D.
• 40% will receive a C.
• 30% will receive a B.
• 10% will receive an A

When you write assignment, include the following points:  

1. Identify the grade you believe you earned. Justify your request for this grade. How you would prove you earned it? Include facts and figures from your own work in your negotiation strategy to strengthen your position.
2. Discuss the negotiation style you would use if you were having a face-to-face discussion with your facilitator. Explain your rationale for using that negotiation style.
3. Discuss how you would demonstrate your desired level of professionalism if you were having a face-to-face discussion with your facilitator. Include the attire you would wear, and the body language cues you would want to use to demonstrate your professionalism. Use examples from course content.
4. As you imagine your discussion with your facilitator, think about the questions you would ask to better understand your facilitator's negotiation style and desired outcome for the class. Provide evidence from course material to enhance your questioning.
