"Sophie Scamps, an independent Member of Parliament and former general practitioner, plans to move a private member's bill in the Parliament of Australia in 2023 to ban the advertising of food products with little or no nutritional value during children's television viewing hours. Previous efforts to change the law in this way have failed due to a lack of support. Applying one or more models of the policy process, generate recommendations Dr Scamps and the public health organisations that support her plans could follow to maximise the bill's chance of successfully being passed into law."
