Assessment description
ePortfolios are increasingly used in applications for employment, or as part of professional registrat1on. In this ePortfolio, learners will provide some background on themselves and form a plan for their future that is based on addressing gaps in their skills. Learners will then present it within a one-on- one professional conversation with one of the tutors. Learners will continue to revisit and build their portfolios throughout subsequent units in their degree.
Note: The following videos were made at the start of Semester 1, 2023, but the information presented in the videos is relevant for the current semester as well.
Assessment instructions
1. What needs to be in my ePortfolio?
1. Completed Academic Integrity
Module (AIM)
Please note: Non-completion of this element will result in a withheld grade for this task until it is completed,
2. A CV/resume,
3. Completed skills audit,
4. A copy of your study plan and identified opportunities and challenges associated with the plan,
5. Examine the goals that you may want achieve over the next 5 years, these should include both personal and professional goals. Providing a jusñfication, with strong evidence, for identifying these goals is strongly recommended.
6. A completed and detailed two year plan, using the SMART framework,
7. An updated industry statement based on the feedback received from Assessment 1: Industry Statement. This might include an updated overview of the industry, more accurate and complete referencing and a revised outline of skills that need to be developed.
2. Presenñng your ePortfolio
During weeks 9 and 10, you will make an appointment with your tutor (these will be held in the virtual room). You will have about 10-15 mins with your tutor to present your portfolio and have a professional conversation.
3. Submitting your ePortfolio
You will be submitting your ePortfolio via a secret URL. That is, via generating a secret URL link to your ePortfolio collection and submitting this link to the ePortfolio assessment on Canvas. Once you have submitted this link, you will have submitted your ePortfolio.
Make sure your pages are linked together as a collection
If you only create a secret URL to a page and not to your collection, your marker will only be able to assess the one page.
° Go into the editing section of one of the pages
Click on share Generate a secret URL
o Submit this link to the assessment on Canvas
