Your Team PESTEL analysis will examine the environmental factors affecting your company (Facebook) in the context of the problem situation you identified. In this report you and your team members will organize all your data is such a way that you can explain to the CEO the problem the company is facing and all the factors in the business environment which will influence or affect the outcome. In order to do so:
1. Review all the data in your worksheets.
2. Review your individual mind-maps and research exercises. (Discussion among team members.)
3. Write a report with the following three major units
a. Carefully identify your problem situation. What are the salient factors in the problem that trigger environmental responses?
b. Explain in distinct sections, each of the PESTEL factors and their impact on situation. It is strongly recommended to use mind-maps to help clarify relationships.
c. Make a series of recommendations that identify how the company can make use of the PESTEL analysis to effectively respond to specific stakeholders. This need not include all stakeholders, but must include at least three stakeholders who are significant in their potential impact on the company.
4. Create a resource list of all the sources you have used in your development of the report and relevant research, even if these resources are not identified with citations in your report. Items should be identified in APA style.
This report should be between 1500 and 3000 words. It may be longer. However, ensure no wasted words.
Team members will find this a most effective exercise through the following process:
- Read all of each other's exercises (ensure confidentiality and destroy all copies after-material must not be permanently shared to avoid copying).
- Discuss your best thinking about the situation. What has your study taught you about the situation?
- Individually prepare specific PESTEL components for joint collection.
- All team members read the collected PESTEL analysis and discuss your findings. What do you see?
- Individual team members individually prepare one or more recommendations that integrates the information in their own way in relation to distinct stakeholders. (Each team member examines a different stakeholder.)
- All team members review the recommendations. Work together to select and revise recommendations for maximum quality and coherence.
