This study examines the effects of original sin on biblical gender roles and how the church's response to gender roles should reflect the atonement of sin and reconciliation with God through Christ. Research Question As a result of his transgression, a wife will desire her husband, and he will exert his authority over her. Do the traditional gender roles in the church still hold true even if we are no longer in sin, or are they a reflection of a corrupted world?

Thesis Statement

This paper aims to argue that gender roles should be based on the unity of God's original plan and the desire to expand the Kingdom of God. This is because Christ's atonement for sin has repaired our relationship with God.
