The novel recounts survivors' experiences within residential schools including the abuses they endured, and the intergenerational trauma that followed. In this unit, you will also learn about the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) and their work for bettering the future of First Nation, Inuit, and Métis peoples in Canada.
