You have to write more then 20,000 words in four chapters (format attached) you have to consider Oman related construction projects.

In context to Omani construction firm the most highlighted project were Muscat International Airport which has been delayed for many years. In 2012 the latest statement by official Dr. M.N. Al Zaabi, CEO of the General Authority of Civil Aviation stated "the end of 2015, not a deadline for the opening of Muscat airport as previously decided". Moreover the official added the reasons to delay the completion of airport is implementation of quality on the site as well as material management whereas a massive disaster had been faced when the amounts of iron were lost in ocean due to sinking of the ship (Atlantic Confederation), which was carrying iron structures estimated at 2,000 tons which led to the holdup the work of the western wing of the project for nearly 9 months, and the contractor faced many problems on the site of the magnitude of the project, where the overlap of many of the work through the work of contractors (Al Waten Newspaper 20.Oct.14).

AIM AND OBJECTIVES

The research aims to mitigate and examine causes and effects which leads to delays in projects in the Sultanate of Oman, same purpose of this study is to examine:

1. Impacts and methods of mitigating delay from previous studies.

2. To understand how to improve construction industry by comprising globally.

3. To develop better well organized management to avoid delays in construction projects.

In 2013 (Ali S. Alnuaimi, and Mohammed A. Al Mohsin) in Oman has studied and collected row data to identify the reasons of delay in projects between year of 2007-2008 and 2009-2010, the reasons has been summarized below as per importance of reasons which impact on projects to delay from most ranked to the least ranking.
