2. The effectiveness and appropriateness of corporal punishment is one of the most widely debated issues in parenting. Some argue that corporal punishment is an acceptable form of discipline that will help improve
a child's behavior, while others believe that it is harmful used in any form. Summarize the two sides of this issue based upon class material and your text. 3. Structure - whether at the level of the family or the community is important in understanding delinquency. Neighborhood and community conditions can play a strong role in determining delinquency, even above and beyond parenting. What are the major factors in how neighborhoods affect delinquency?
